Ruth Ann Minks

Obituary
Ruth Ann Minks, 89 of Canal Fulton, passed away May 23, 2023. She was born Oct. 6, 1933, to the late Walter and Deltha (Fischnich) Schroeder of Canal Fulton. Ruth Ann was the bookkeeper for C.R. Kurtz Heating and Cooling and later Jim Kurtz Heating and Cooling. She enjoyed golfing and eating out with her husband Dale (Porky) and friends. Dale and Ruth Ann were married 62 years before his passing. Baking Christmas cookies, family dinners and outings were favorite times. Ruth Ann is survived by her son, Eric (Sherry) Minks of Missouri; daughter, Jane Lavis (Minks); four grandchildren, Adam (Allison) Minks, Ben (Sarah) Minks, Erica (Doug) Swartz and Emily (Keith) Blowers; great-grandchildren, Colton, Cooper and Miles Minks, Isaac and Kai Swartz; Kensington and Everly Blowers. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Peterman along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Minks; sister, Sally (Jim) Kurtz and Leila Rohr; sister-in-law, Kate (Dutch) Thomas. A Memorial Service will be held WEDNESDAY, May 31, 2023, 11:30am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home. Memorials in Ruth Ann's name can be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708.
