RUTH ALLENE NETHERTON Ruth Allene Netherton, 77, of Independence, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 22, 2013. Visitation will be at Floral Hills on Friday, June 28 from 12:30-2PM, service at 2PM, with burial to follow. Ruth was born to Sherman A. and Mary (Johnson) Nowell in Holden, MO on June 5, 1936. They later moved to Pleasant Hill before moving to Kansas City in 1947. Ruth attended McCoy Grade School and graduated from East High School in 1954. Ruth was married to Herbert E. Binsbacher Jr. from 1957 to 1973, and had 2 daughters, Mary Ann and Ruth Ann. During her 39 year career as an Administrative Professional, she worked for Goppert Bank, KCMO Police Dept. and First Federal Bank. Ruth met the love of her life, James E. Netherton Jr, at her 30 year high school reunion, they married in 1988. Ruth was a member of Belmont Christian Church, KCMO and then First Christian Church, Independence. Ruth's life was guided by her strong faith in the Lord and unconditional love for family and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Shane Felts. Ruth is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jim; daughters, Mary Ann (Keith) Felts, of Plattsburg, MO and Ruth Ann (Kevin) Kolb, of Overland Park, KS; grandsons, Myron, Brandon, Reggie Felts, and Scott Kolb; and many cousins, relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to First Christian Church of Independence - Tabitha's Closet 125 S. Pleasant St., Independence, MO 64050, or to your local animal shelter. Ruth is deeply missed, but her nurturing and generous spirit will remain in our hearts. Condolences for the family may be left at www.floralhillsfuneralhome.com. (Arrangements by D.W.
