Ruth Praetorius Obituary
Born on March 23, 1925 in Johnstown, she was the daughter of Frank Fikes and Dorothy (Hinkle) Fikes.
Ruth married the love of her life, Everett Praetorius. They were together 62 years.
She was a graduate of Johnstown High School. Ruth worked at Knox Gelatin and was a Teacher's Aide for HFM Boces.
Ruth was a member of The Johnstown Reformed Church and was active in the Calvary class.
Ruth is survived by her children, Robert (Linda) Praetorius, Susan (Douglas) Moore, Richard Praetorius (Sandra Tallon); 6 grandchildren, Eric Praetorius, Chad (Rachel) Praetorius, Justin (Cheryl) Moore, Allyson (Drew) Blume, Christopher (Jamie) Tallon, and Patrick (Alicia) Tallon. They were her world. Ruth also had 9 great-grandchildren.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
