Ruth Ann Rentfro

Ruth Ann Rentfro, age 76, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Bartlesville.

Ruth was born in Basehor, Kansas, to T.J. and Helen (Horn) Steele. She was a proud graduate of Basehor High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, she attended some college and later earned an accounting certification from Tri County Technology Center in Bartlesville.

Ruth dedicated 38 years of faithful service to Phillips Petroleum Company, where she worked as an accountant in gas purchasing before retiring. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and loyalty throughout her career.

On May 3, 1970, Ruth married the love of her life, Johnny Earl Rentfro. Together they shared over 50½ years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Johnny preceded her in death, and Ruth carried his memory close to her heart.

In her free time, Ruth found joy in reading, planting flowers, and tending to her garden. She also enjoyed relaxing at home watching her favorite crime drama television shows.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Helen Steele; her sister, Gladys; and her beloved husband, Johnny Earl Rentfro.

She is survived by her son, Michael Rentfro and his wife, Tonya; her sister, Barbara; her brother, Tommy; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A memorial service will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
