Ruth G. Shelly, 91 of Manheim, died on Friday, August 1, 2025 at United Zion Retirement Community. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David M. Shelly. Born in Manheim on September 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Amos G. and Amelia (Geib) Kulp.
Ruth was a nurse’s aide at Brethren Village. She was a member of East Fairview Church, Manheim, and the Manheim Historical Society. She was also a member of the Lancaster Road Runners and enjoyed cooking.
Ruth is survived by a son David Shelly, Jr. (Faye) of Manheim, a daughter Deb Schompert of Manheim; three grandchildren Michael Schompert (Jennifer), Douglas Shelly, Bryan Shelly; and three great grandchildren Calleigh, Noah, and Brielle Schompert. She was preceded in death by a son Dale K. Shelly, four brothers and three sisters.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim. A graveside service will follow the viewing at East Fairview Church Cemetery.
