Dianne Hozey Silvers, 79, of Iva, died Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. She was born in Calhoun Falls to the late John Henry Hozey, Sr. and Flora Evans Hozey.
Dianne exemplified a spirit as vibrant as the fabric she lovingly stitched together throughout her dedicated career as a seamstress. Beyond her career, she was a devoted grandmother who found joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished every moment shared with them, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Dianne also held a special place in her heart for her elderly relatives, whom she often visited. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Silvers, Jr.; three brothers, Ronnie Hozey, Curt Hozey and John Henry ‘Bugs’ Hozey, Jr.; and sister, Vickie Hill.
Dianne is survived by two sons, Marty Silvers (Kelly) and Mark Silvers; and four loving grandchildren who were the lights of her life, Leslie Silvers, Allen Silvers (Kinsey), Kristen Silvers and Tyler Silvers (Monica); twelve great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Kali, Tay Jr., Knowledge, Kyomi, Brantley, Abigail, Hunter, Caroline, Gracelyn, Lela, and Eliza; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stan Campbell officiating. A private burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
