Terry James Silvers was born on March 6, 1951, in
Dayton, Ohio and went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Terry lived a life full of purpose and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. After a distinguished 30-year career with Aflac, Terry retired in 2014 to devote himself to his true passion-working with churches in Russia. His commitment to this mission was unwavering. He and his dear friend, Dick Dodge, led several teams to work alongside the Russian pastors, helping to build and support their congregations.
A man of strong faith, Terry was a member of First Baptist Hendersonville for over 20 years leading the singles department and later on, helping with the Men's Prayer Breakfast. He held an associate degree from Fruitland Bible College. Terry served as chairman of the Russian Relief Foundation to help extend the love of Christ to his brothers and sisters overseas.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Dorothy Silvers; and one brother, Mike Silvers. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Necia Carol Silvers and his ten children. They are Terry James Silvers, Jr., Jennifer (Joe) Mannarelli, Cassondra (Jarom-fiancé) Silvers, Jason (Rebekah) Kilpatrick, Christi Lopez, Anastasia Silvers, Andrew Silvers, Anya Silvers, Sergey Silvers, and Katy Silvers. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who he dearly treasured; and one sister, April West.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
