Ruth A. Storm

Ruth A. (Zimmer) Storm 81 of Hillsboro passed away at her residence on April 8, 2022.
She was born on May 7, 1940 in Hillsboro IL to Earl H. and Rosella (Mollman) Zimmer.
She was a graduate of Witt High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from SIUE.
She taught Kindergarten in Coffeen and 2nd grade and remedial reading at Beckemeyer Elementary School in Hillsboro. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro and The Teachers Retirement Association. She loved cooking and baking and was a loyal supporter of family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and was proud she had visited all 50 states and Europe.
She married Leland Storm on Feb. 22, 1959 and he survives.
She is also survived by two sons Tim (Sara) Storm of Hillsboro and Jim (Alison) Storm of Springfield and five grandchildren Christopher, Lindsey and Lauren Storm and Hailey and James Storm.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Ida Lou Zimmer and Norma Jean Zimmer.
Memorials can be directed to Hillsboro Area Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday April 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Stefan Munker officiating, visitation will be Monday April 11, 2022 at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 7-9P.M.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro
