Ruth Sullins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fieser Funeral Home from Mar. 11 to Mar. 12, 2026.
Sullins, Ruth Ann (nee Schenk) of Fenton, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 4 days. Born Friday, January 1, 1937 to the late Edward Jr. and Rose Schenk (nee Dimariano) in St. Louis, Missouri. Devoted wife of 62 years to the late James A. Sullins Sr. Loving mother of James A. Sullins Jr; Brenda Sullins and Michael (Susana) Sullins. Dear sister of Jeanette Barbey. Proud grandmother of Barry (Amy) Sullins, Franklin Hadley, Matthew (Kendall) Knierim and Heather (Zac) Link. Blessed great-grandmother of Bailey (Scott), Macey, Owen, Bren, Roman and great-great-grandmother of Landon and Lyla. Our dear mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She was the most caring and kind-hearted woman who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed watching movies, especially mysteries, playing cards, and other games with her grandchildren. She especially loved watching wrestling with her grandson. Ruth was an amazing cook. She was well-known for her spaghetti sauce, which was enjoyed by all. She also loved gardening and going out to dinner with her family. She always made sure everyone had good food and a roof over their heads. Ruth often spoke fondly about fishing trips with her husband and other family members at Table Rock Lake. She also treasured the time she was able to travel to New York with her daughter. Ruth will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to the Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorproject.org donations are appreciated. Celebration of Life Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Arnold Eagles Lodge 3678 1725 Jeffco Boulevard Arnold, MO 63010.
