Ruth Taylor Obituary
Ruth Taylor age 92, wife of the late Marion Elmer Taylor, passed away Monday Jan. 5, 2026 at the St Joseph Hospital after a brief illness. Ruth was a member of the Berea Church of Christ, and she was retired paralegal secretary for Steve Connelley Law Offices. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Parley and Bessie Smith Bartlett, and her husband Marion Elmer Taylor.
Ruth is survived by her son Doug (Nancy) Taylor, and her grandson James Wilder. The family will have visitation Wednesday Jan. 7, 2026 from 6-9 pm at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea. Funeral services will be Friday Jan. 9, 2026, at 2 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals in Black Mountain, NC. Burial will be in the Black Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at 1 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ruth are suggested to Southeastern Children's Home PO Box 339, Duncan SC, 29334.
