Ruth Lea Torres

Ruth Lea Torres, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. Born on November 15, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, Ruth was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Orallia (Zapata) Torres Jr. She was welcomed into the home by her elder brother Reuben and she later welcomed her sister, Martha, and younger brother, Ronald. She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Lisa) Torres of Mt. Pleasant; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Patricia Torres. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; and sister. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Manors Home Assisted Living for the kindness, dignity, and care they provided to Ruth. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
