Ruth Elizabeth Trimble

Ruth Elizabeth Trimble, age 86, of Rainbow City, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Ruth was born in Rome, Georgia, on November 3, 1939, daughter of the late James Albert Duke and Mamie Ruth Touchstone Duke. She was also preceded in death by her former husband James Edward Davis, and her brother, James Davis Duke.
Ruth was a graduate of Armuchee High School and retired from Floyd County Board of Education, Armuchee School System. She was a member of Eastern Star Emeritus and the Rome Shrine Ladies. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend; she will be missed by all her family and friends.
Ruth met her husband Ronald at a ballroom dance, and they were married for 29 ½ years. They rarely spent time apart from each other and were very active in the Shriners Hospital' organization volunteering at the circus for many years. They rode a Goldwing motorcycle and went on many adventures together. They loved their life with each other.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Clements Trimble Sr.; daughter, Melissa Faith Smith (Kyle); son, Barrett Lee Davis, granddaughters, Chelsea Faith Smith, Shelby Lauren Smith; sister-in-law, Lynn Duke; two nephews, Jason Duke, Joseph Duke.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 12:00pm until 12:45pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor David Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
