Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Waldrop, 100, of the Chapman Community, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Brad McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waldrop passed away May 21, 2025, in Nacogdoches. She was born June 10, 1924, in the Chapman Community of Rusk County to Samuel and Elizabeth (Taylor) Wylie. Mrs. Waldrop was a seamstress. She was a member of Blossum Hill Methodist Church.
Mrs. Waldrop was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Betty (Taylor) Wylie; husband, Bill Waldrop; brothers, Taylor Wylie, Leon Wylie; and sister, Margie Wylie Wyatt.
Survivors include her three sons, Dr. Garry Waldrop and wife Karen of Nacogdoches, Dr. Ronald Waldrop and wife Tamara of Spearfish, South Dakota, Chris Waldrop of Chapman; four grandchildren, Amanda Haedge and husband Robby, Matt Waldrop and wife Nicole, Jennifer Arnold and husband Nick, Melissa Strong; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Easton, Casen, Chadden, Smith, Dylan, and Tate.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Garry Waldrop, Dr. Ron Waldrop, Chris Waldrop, Sammy Wyatt, Virgil Allred, W. C. Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Waldrop, Robby Haedge, Nick Arnold and Butch Wyatt
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
