Ruth Elaine Weaver, 71, of the 5100 block of Shenstone Drive, passed away April 20, 2009, in Bayside Hospital. A native of Walton, West Virginia, she graduated from Walton High School in Walton, WV in 1957. She then married Donald Weaver in 1957 and they celebrated their 50th Anniversary May 17, 2007. She served as Assistant Librarian in Calhoun Public Library in Grantsville, WV during the 60's. She served as President of the Bayside Hospital Auxiliary during the early 70's. She was a member of the Chesapeake Beach Garden Club, Haygood United Methodist Church and was employed for several years as an assistant to Optomologists in Virginia Beach. She is survived by her husband, Donald F. Weaver; a daughter, Jennifer Weaver Nocito and husband James of Bonita Springs, FL; three grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Taylor, Travis Weaver Taylor and James C. Nocito, II; a great-grandson, Riley M. Breton; and a sister, Theresa Cunningham. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel with Rev. Chuck Shumate and Rev. Mary Dadisman officiating. The burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
