Ruth Elizabeth Webb Willis, age 94, of Nebo, peacefully departed this life on the morning of Monday, February 10, 2025 at Autumn Care of Marion.
A native of McDowell County, she was born January 16, 1931 to the late William Webb and Nellie Willis Webb.
Ruth was a lifetime member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Marion where she was very faithful in her service to her Lord. She taught Sunday School for a number of years. She retired from Marion Manufacturing in 1993 after many years of dedicated service. Ruth will be remembered as one who was very generous in her giving to help those in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Willis; her son, Jimmy Willis; son-in-law, Jerry Carswell; grandson, Ryan Willis; and great-granddaughter, Madison Carswell.
She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda McGee (Doug), Dianne Rhinehart (Danny), and Joyce Carswell; five grandchildren, Keith McGee, Jeff McGee, Jennifer Cable, Stephanie Carswell, and Meredith Williams; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Preacher Doug McGee officiating. Burial will be private at McDowell Memorial Park at a later date.
