Ruth N. Yoder, aged 90, of Floyd, Va., crossed over the river into eternity on April 12, 2025, at her home after suffering a major stroke several days earlier.

She was born August 2, 1934 in Kempsville, Va. to Eli M. and Amelia (Beachy) Yoder. On July 1, 1954, she married Eli B. Yoder with whom she shared 62 years of love, respect and devotion until he passed in 2017.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest and Robert; sisters, Annie and Grace; and three grandsons, Cameron, Michael and Gabriel.

She is survived by four sons, Merle and wife Mary, Robbie and wife Lydia, both of Gladys, Va., Steve and wife Joan, of Floyd, Va., Calvin and wife Sheila of Wakarusa, In.; and one daughter, Judy and husband David of Floyd, Va. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.

"Mama" was well loved and appreciated by all for her caring and gentle ways.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Beaver Creek Church with Pastor Leon Yoder, Pastor Milo Zehr, and Pastor Sonny Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in the Wills Ridge Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Beaver Creek Church.
