Ruthann Angle, 74, of North Manchester, IN (formerly of Milford, IN) passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 in Warrensburg, NY as the result of a vehicle / pedestrian accident. She was born on November 16, 1946 in Peru, IN to Ellis T. & Iris M. (Sullivan) Angle.
She graduated in 1964 from Peru High School, 1968 from Manchester College, and received her master’s degree from Indiana University South Bend. She retired from Wawasee Community School Corporation in Syracuse where she was a teacher and guidance counselor for 38 years at Wawasee High School. She lived most of her life in Milford before moving to North Manchester in 2015.
She attended the North Manchester Church of the Brethren, Shepherd Center of North Manchester, formerly attended Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren in Milford, and was a former member of the Milford Kiwanis.
She is survived by nieces & nephews along with many great & great great nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Mary Kesler, 4 brothers – Myron, Ted, Warren and Phil Angle.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. An outside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May, 8, 2021 at the Church of the Brethren, 1306 Beckley St., North Manchester, IN with Chaplain Laura Stone & Pastor R. Kurt Borgmann officiating. Masks and social distancing is requested by the family. Please bring your own lawn chair for seating. The service will also be live streamed at Manchester Church of the Brethren YouTube Channel. Private family burial will take place in North Manchester.
Preferred memorials may be given to the Manchester University, 604 East College Ave., North Manchester, IN 46962 or the Peace and Justice Fund at Manchester Church of the Brethren, 1306 Beckley St., North Manchester, IN 46962.
