Ruthann Baldasarre

The family of Ruthann Frye Baldasarre is saddened to announce her passing on September 19, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ following a brief illness. She was 82 years of age, and would have celebrated her 83rd birthday this week.

Ruthann was born in 1942 and grew up in Centerton, NJ. She graduated from The Memorial School of Nursing in 1963 as an RN. She was very proud of her achievements and of her profession of caring for those in need. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, her husband, John Vincent Baldasarre, Jr. They shared many joyous memories together during the course of their 58-year marriage, and they loved telling the story of how they first met. During the course of her career, she worked at Bridgeton Hospital, the Rainbow Convalescent Center, and the Cumberland County Health Department.

Ruthann and her husband proudly welcomed their son, John Vincent Baldasarre, III in 1972 and she often jokingly described herself as a "helicopter mom." She stayed home to care for her son during his younger years until he began school.

Ruthann was an excellent cook and her and her husband enjoyed hosting many gatherings at their home over the years. Ruthann loved socializing and gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She was incredibly proud of her two granddaughters, Phoebe Baldasarre and Hannah Baldasarre. She was a woman of faith who was strong and resilient. She was sharp witted, had a larger-than-life personality, always wore her heart on her sleeve and she was very warm, loving and kind.

She was preceded in death by; her son, John Vincent Baldasarre, III; her parents, Edna and Russell Frye; and her brother, Edmund James Frye.

She is survived by; her husband, John Vincent Baldasarre, Jr., her granddaughters, Phoebe Baldasarre and Hannah Baldasarre, her nieces, Lori Anne Grindel (Matt) and Joy Shindler Rafey (Jud), and many other loving family members and friends who remain to cherish and carry on her memory.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Friday, September 26th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Ruthann will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 197 Main Street, Cedarville, NJ 08311.
