Ruthann Bernett Obituary

Ruthann was born July 30, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Ruth Hoffman Carr and Charles Kelly. She was a homemaker and worked with her sister, Edith Fleming at Fleming's Sandwich Shop for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Bernett; grandson, Michael Webb; brother, Edward Eighmey, and sister, Isabelle Mastrocinque.
Ruthann is survived by her daughters, Michele Blegen (Dana), Jennifer Bridges (Jessie Bizzell), Donna Smith (Charles), and Cheryl Flowers; grandchildren, Cheryl-Lyn, Scott, Ronda, Lindsay, Avery, Camryn, Lucas, Madison, and Ashlynn; and great grandchildren, Lilly, Kendall, Kasey, Jackson, Gracie, Cayden, Kayden, and Callan; brother, Thomas Kelly; sisters, Edith Fleming (Tom), and Ronnie DeMartino; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday, June 29, 2023 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC 27546.
The family would like to give special thanks to Betsi Todd, and Kim Price for their loving care and support.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Special Olympics of North Carolina.
