Ruthanne K. Erickson, age 81, was born on May 19, 1944, in Muskegon, Michigan to the late John and Katherine Holwerda and was received into Jesus' arms on November 18, 2025. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Daryn Renee' Worpel and her former spouse, Lee F. Erickson. Ruthanne is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Tom Hull) Erickson, Dawn (John) Erickson-Stevens, Kimberlee (former spouse, Joseph R. Worpel) Erickson; grandchildren, Shae Stevens, Colin Worpel and Jolee Worpel; brother, Mark (Karen) Holwerda; and several nieces and nephews. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her longtime companion, James McGraw, and his son Donnie.
Ruthanne was a very social person and her winsome sense of humor led to many meaningful conversations and connections with people wherever she was. She spent the last three years at Intersect Health Care, formerly Mission Point, in Grandville, Michigan where she enjoyed many friendships.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at All Shores Wesleyan Church, 1050 W. Southern Ave. Muskegon, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Eric Stratton officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with a light lunch and fellowship immediately following the service. Interment will be next to her parents in Restlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to "Daryn's Gift" through Fidelity Charitable.
