Graveside service for Ruthie Lee Cameron, age 78, of Naples, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 15, 2025 with Damien Swan officiating. David Lennox, Wayne Theriot, Matt Cummings, Charlie Cummings, Bryan Lennox, Alvin Cortinas will be serving as pallbearers and Josh Zacarias as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Ruthie Lee (Cummings) Cameron was born on April 25, 1947 in Harleton, Texas to Dolphus Adlee Cummings and Janie Ruth (Jackson) Cummings. Ruthie married the love of her life, Joe Albert Cameron on July 24, 1966 in Marshall, Texas. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 59 years.
Ruthie is survived by her aunts; Mozzell Sharp of Dallas, TX and Emma Sykes and husband, James of Jefferson, TX, her nephews; Charles Cummings II and wife, Amanda of Marshall, TX, Matthew Cummings of Marshall, TX, her niece, Jennifer Crowston and husband, Tony of Daingerfield, TX. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Carolyn Weeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Dolphus and Janie Cummings, her beloved husband, Joe Cameron, and her brother, Charles W. Cummings I (Bubbie).
She will be remembered for her warm personality, her encouraging spirit, and her unwavering faith.
