Ryan Running Horse-Arrow was born on July 26, 1996 in Valentine, NE to Scott Arrow to Desiree Running Horse. Ryan made his journey to the Spirit World on February 6, 2025 at their home in Valentine, NE.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Desiree Running Horse; godparents, Bow Hacker, and Johnna Murray; brothers and sisters, Caleb Running Horse, Cole Black Crow, Logan Black Crow, Toby Hacker, Scott Arrow, Jr., Shelby Louder, Stacia Clairmont, Echo Clairmont, Patience Clairmont, Journie Clairmont, Payton Clairmont, Tristan Arrow, Fely Arros, Melorie Arrow, Tianni Arrow, Zion Arrow, Fred Arrow, III, Eternity Arrow, Grayso Arrow, Bradley Baldwin, Jim Baldwin, Jace Scmidt, July Scmidt, Caeleigh Rahn, Cheyenne Rahn, Bennett Thomas, and Taylor Rahn; and grandparents, Sandra Morrison, Fred Arrow, Sr., and Rena Rahn.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Scott Ryan Arrow, Sr.; brother, Troy Rahn; grandfather, Harold Running Horse; and godfather, Delane Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Scott "Scottie" Arrow Jr., Shelby Louder, Terra Murray, Tiffany Standing Bear, Denea LeMay, Leo Chasing In Timber, Danial Little Thunder, AJ Little Thunder, Logan Black Crow, Taylor Jo Rahn, Toby Hacker, Brad Baldwin, Jace Schmidt, Louis Macias, Leroy Morrison Jr., Bow Hacker, Dale Medicine Bear, Jory Farmer, Ashley Eagle Tail, Frances Schmidt, and Gilbert Morrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gus Stop Employees in White River, SD, White River High School, Staff & Students Class of 2015, Paul Mart Employees in Rosebud, SD, He Dog Elementary Staff & Students, Garden Hills Staff & Residents in Spearfish, SD, Rosebud Sioux Tribe Corrections, and All Friends & Relatives.
Wake Services: Two night wake services starting at 1:00 CT, Thursday, February 15, 2025, at the Black Pipe Community Hall in Norris, SD. Second night wake starting at 12:30 CT, Friday, February 14, 2025, at the He Dog Community Building in He Dog, SD. Evening Services being held at 7:00 PM each night.
Funeral Services: 2:00 PM CT, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at He Dog Community Building in He Dog, SD
Officiating: Minister Erroll Geboe
Traditional Lakota Services: Mr. Waylon Black Crow, Sr. and Russell Eagle Bear, Sr.
Burial Services: To be held at a later date. Cremation to follow services.
