Ryan Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel on Jan. 14, 2026.
Ryan La Mar Taylor, was called home to be with our heavenly Father on January 12th, 2026 at 1:52 P.M. Ryan was born to Sherri and Emell Taylor Jr. on May 6th, 1977.
Ryan fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. When asked Ryan about his journey, he would always answer by saying, (if you're looking at me, then you're seeing faith) and he proved that for over two precious years granted to us by the Lord. Ryan was a lifelong resident of the South Bend/Mishawaka area. He attended South Bend Community Schools.

He was an over-the-road truck driver that loved to travel cross country delivering pianos to all 50 states, which he was very proud of.

Ryans favorite past time was creating ridiculously loud sound systems for his vehicles and having the ability to be heard two blocks away, I always knew Ryan was close to being home when the pictures began to shake on the walls and the screen door would rattle. Music was a large part of his life; he loved sharing it with the world, even if it was way too loud.
Ryan is survived by his wife Michelle, his children, Gaven (Lexi) Taylor, Immanuel Taylor of Mishawaka, Korrina Taylor of South Bend. Megan (Chris) Brandenburg, Rachael Hubbard, South Bend, Ally Hubbard, TN, Jaedan Hubbard, and Madilynn Hubbard, Mishawaka.
Grandchildren Marcel and Danielle Taylor, Mishawaka, Marcella and Marchurne, South Bend. His mom, whom he loved very much, sister Erica Brazier, Mishawaka, brothers Emell C. Taylor Sr., South Bend and Antoine Davis, NY. His beloved Uncle Brian Harris, South Bend, special Aunt Betty Hall, MI. along with his many aunts and uncles who loved him dearly. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins and special brother Bud Neal, and best friend Bill.

Ryan was preceded in death by his beautiful sissy, Victoria Hayes and his father Emell Taylor Jr. as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Ryan and I spoke at length about what he wanted me to say for him when he could no longer speak, and this is what he said: " I have made many mistakes in my life and had to learn from them, but who hasn't in this life? I have no regrets, because I cannot change the past, we can only look towards the future and create better for ourselves going forward. I would like to ask for forgiveness for any wrongs I have done to anyone in this life I am leaving behind, and if you know that you have wronged me during my life, I want you to know that you are forgiven, and I love you all.
Ryan and his wife and family would like to give a very heartfelt thank you to Ashley Holden from Center for Hospice, for loving Ryan and his wife and helping to care for Ryan during his journey home, also Dr. Misner and Raclin House staff for making his transition as comfortable as possible.
Ryans' Favorite bible verse was:
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Here is a few memories of my beloved uncle, Ryan L. Taylor (Uncle Ryo) I remember the time I went to my Grandma's house for his birthday, and he showed up there! I really miss you. May the Lord bless you and your family members that has been sad ever since you have been marked dead, and hope that you see our savior that died for our sins! We will miss you. I wish I seen you earlier then 4 days ago. Now we cannot spend time with you for right now.
