Rylee Lynn Fairclough, 18, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on August 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, Ohio, on December 2, 2006, Rylee was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.
Rylee was preceded in death by her father, Ray Fairclough. She is survived by her loving partner, Andrew Cosby; her mother, Hollie Dermer; her stepfather, RJ Hoyle; her siblings, Emma Early (Mason Kamath), Titus, Zoe, Hannah, Alethea, Lily, and Felicity Dermer; her step-siblings, Robert, James, John, Martin, Elizabeth, and Richard Hoyle; her step-siblings Addison and Grayson Fairclough, and her grandparents, Steve and Rita Burgess, and Curt and Karen Fairclough.

Rylee had an extraordinary gift for spreading joy and making connections. She formed friendships wherever she went and shared a special bond with animals, dedicating much of her life to their care. An avid lover of the outdoors, she found peace in nature. Rylee also had a passion for baking, delighting friends and family each year with over 200 homemade Christmas cookies, a tradition that warmed countless hearts. Above all, Rylee loved her people fiercely, bringing immeasurable happiness to those around her.
Rylee's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
