Ryszard Kosla Obituary

Ryszard, "Richie" Kosla, drove down the highway to heaven on February 5, 2024, after suffering from congestive heart failure. Richie was born on August 12, 1948, in Bystrzyca, Klodzka, Poland.
He came to the United States, in the late 1960's; lived in Chicago, Illinois with his parents and siblings; and later worked as a truck driver for more than 50 years and drove more than a million miles.
He loved American cinema, especially Western movies and shows. John Wayne was his alltime favorite actor. He settled in San Antonio, TX, where he fell in love with the culture and the people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jozef and Maria Kosla; his first wife, Wanda; and his beautiful child, Annette M. Kosla.
Richie is survived by his wife, Adelfa; her children and grandchildren; his siblings, John Kosla, Barbara Hettman, and Christine Mikulski; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1819 Nevada St., San Antonio,Texas 78203, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
