Sada Ram Rajput

During his amazing 72 years of life, Sada Ram Rajput was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend to many. He passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on July 27th in Elk Grove, Illinois.
He was born to Mohan Lal and Ram Piari Rajput in Punjab, India. He graduated high school in Hoshiarpur, India. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Bellwood with his wife Sudesh, and had two children; Vinay and Vandana, later moving to Palatine where he resided for the duration of his life. He worked for the United States Postal Service.
He enjoyed listening to Hindi music and Punjabi Bhangra music always got him in the mood to dance. He was a big foodie, savoring a wide variety of cuisines. He had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed working on his own vehicles. He adored Indian cinema and taking his wife to the latest Bollywood film each week. They delighted in taking walks outside and daily workouts at the gym. He had an interest in stocks as a numbers guy and learning new technology. He loved spending time with his family celebrating milestones and events. He had a genuine heart of gold and a sympathetic ear he lent to anyone who needed it. He had the most gentle smile that would make you feel good from the inside. He was a devoted husband. He was very proud of becoming a father and grandfather and had a very special bond with his children and grandchildren.
Sada is survived by his wife, Sudesh Rajput; son Vinay Rajput; daughter in law, Rakhi Rajput; daughter Vandana Rajput; grandchildren Arjun and Ariya Rajput; sister Raj (Sat Pal) Rajput, brother Balbir (Gurchuran) Rajput, sister Asha (Rajinder) Verma, brother Raj (Asha) Rajput and sister Meena (Rajesh) Verma; and many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service (Antam Sanskar) will be on Tuesday, August 2, 11:00am - 2:00pm: Visitation, service, and cremation will be Tuesday, August 2nd at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S.
