Sardani Manjit Kaur Rajput, a remarkable and beloved mother and grandmother, 86 years of age, left for her heavenly abode (Sachkand) on Sunday, October 8, 2023, amongst her family.
Sardani Manjit Kaur Rajput was the eldest daughter of Sardar Mela Singh and Sardani Kartar Kaur. She was born in Gujranwala, India (Now Pakistan). Preceding her beloved husband, Sardar Balbir Singh Rajput, and her eldest son, Sardar Charanjit Singh Rajput.
Sardani Manjit Kaur Rajput, leaves behind her brothers and sisters as well as her sons, Tejinder Pal Singh Rajput, Jaswinder Singh Nischal, Jasbir Singh Nischal, Mahinder Singh Rajput, and daughter, Parvinder Kaur, and her grandchildren. Likewise, she leaves behind a legacy of her values of compassion, her various skills and talents, her devoted commitment to the religious faith of Sikhism, her passion for higher education, and the understanding and importance of having a joint family.
Sardani Manjit Kaur Rajput was a woman of compassion, kindness, and creativity. She believed in the importance of learning one's heritage and sharing that amongst others. She passed on kindness to all. She had unhidden talents such as a beautiful voice, which she used to sing hymns and prayers. She loved to create anything such as scarves for her grandchildren or whomsoever through sewing and crocheting. Likewise, she enjoyed cooking. Through her culinary talents, she prepared delicious meals for her entire family. Her kitchen was not only a place for cooking meals, but a place where traditions and stories were passed down throughout each generation. Her many talents and skills were an inspiration to all.
She had a passion for higher education as well, which stemmed from her extended family, a family of highly educated army officials. Her desire to have her children be well-educated amounted to raising her children with the knowledge that higher education was of utmost importance. Through her own sacrifices and hard work, she raised each of them to become well-educated. She celebrated their successes and accomplishments with immense pride.
Likewise, her life was a testament of her unwavering commitment to her faith and her family. She followed the principles of Sikhism and found solace and strength in her religious beliefs, which she instilled in her family. She partook in religious ceremonies and prayed every day. These values guided her life and family throughout the test of time. She devoted her entire life to her faith and never missed a day to chant the name of God, WaheGuru.
Her ultimate important value and passion in her life was that of having a joint family full of harmony. She worked tirelessly to ensure that her family remained close to one another. She endured many adversities, difficulties, and hardships than most, yet she faced them with her unwavering resilience and her persistence. Her steadfast nature of resiliency and persistence was a beacon of hope and a key value that guided her family and brought them immense significance and support. With her caring nature, she guided her family to love one another and support each other through the test of time and she maintained her home with tender love throughout her lifetime.
The teachings of having unwavering faith, the importance and value of having a joint family full of harmony, the significance of obtaining a higher education, the unhidden talents and skills, the joyful memories, and the inspiring legacy of Sardani Manjit Kaur Rajput will forever be cherished in our hearts. May her soul forever rest in eternal peace and her memories continue to bring warmth to all.
