Sadie Mae Bethune went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Sadie was born October 5, 1960 in Manning, SC to Willie Albert Conyers and Francis Witherspoon Conyers. She moved to New Haven, CT with her family in her younger years.
Sadie graduated from Richard C. Lee High School. She attended Wilfred Academy of Cosmetology, receiving her cosmetology license. Sadie was employed as a housekeeper at Yale University for several years. Sadie was also a housekeeper at St. Regis Health Care for 17 years. She later became a preschool teacher at Mishkon Isreal Preschool.
Sadie was a member of Healing and Deliverance Outreach Ministries where she was appointed as an evangelist. She was an avid Sunday school and bible study teacher.
Sadie was a free-spirited person who was full of love and laughter. She had a caring heart and a personality and smile that would light up a room. She was a creative artist and enjoyed making unique art pieces. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, 3 children, LaTonya Conyers, Antoine Edmond (Shanique)and Janyce Green (Craig); stepson, Marcus Pina (Genesis); 6 grandchildren: 2 brothers, Willie Edward Conyers (Patricia) and Larry Conyers (Sheree); 2 sisters, Apostle Clara Robinson (Joseph) and Catherine Conyers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her immensely.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Shirley Conyers- Ford, Levern Conyers, Albertus Conyers, Barbara Lakes; and nephew, Tyrease Conyers.
Sadie is absent from the body, but present with the Lord, and ever present in our hearts.
