She graduated in 1944 from Richmond Professional Institute. She was a strong, graceful and dignified woman, admired and beloved by many.
She was predeceased by her husband of seventy years, John Sears Carson and son, John Sears Carson II.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Carson Griffin (Woody) of Surry; son, Charles Forrest Carson (Nancy) of Birney, Montana; five grandchildren Jacob, Luke, William, Jennifer (Jon), and Jonathan (Olivia); 3 great-grandchildren, Sam, Charlie and Sadie; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel is serving the family.
