The river of time, it flows and churns, A song of sorrow, my heart it burns. My mother's gone, a star gone low, But her love's a fire, that still will glow. Her hands, they worked, a rhythm true, A tapestry of life, for me and you. She sang the blues, a soulful plea, And taught me strength, to stand and be. Now spirit whispers, on the breeze, A memory blooms, among the trees. Her laughter echoes, soft and low, A love that lingers, here below. Though grief may linger, deep within,Her spirit lives, till life's been spun. A mother's love, a sacred art, Forever etched, within my heart. I'll carry on, her strength inside, A song of hope, where tears subside. For in this pain, a truth I see, Her love's eternal, always free.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Sadie Ruth Gethers will be held 11am, Friday, April 25, 2025 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2718 River Road, John's Island, SC 29455. Interment: Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gethers will lie in state at the church on Friday 10am until the hour of service. Viewing will be held, Thursday, April 24, 2025, 3pm until 7pm at Walker's Mortuary Chapel, 3407 Old Pond Road, John's Island, SC.
