Sadie Glaze, age 86, of Ocala, Florida, passed away tragically on September 23, 2025, as the result of a car accident.
Born in Greenbriar, Virginia on August 29, 1939, Sadie made a career in interior design. She devoted her life to her family and those she loved. Sadie will be remembered for her kindness, her steady presence, her deep affection for those closest to her and her strong belief in Jesus.
Throughout her life, Sadie treasured the companionship of her beloved dog, McKenzie and later Molly, who brought her joy and comfort. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of shopping, a pastime through which she found delight in selecting gifts and caring for her loved ones. A true creature of habit, Sadie loved starting her mornings with breakfast out and a good cup of coffee, where she often found warmth in conversation and the familiar rhythm of daily life. Above all, her family was her greatest source of pride and happiness, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to them.
Sadie is survived by son Danny Roberts (Kim), daughter Ellen Brigger (Mark); grandchildren Brandon Holloway (Christy), Matthew Roberts, Jaime Powell (Matt), Jessica Shelton (Dustin), Joshua Roberts (Kaitlin), Kathryn Marshall (Erik), Kristen McCullough (Jeffrey), Victoria Pena; great-grandchildren, Tyler Bumstead, Isabelle Holloway, Rylan Roberts, Graysen Roberts, Liam Roberts, Carson Powell, Emily Powell, Lauren Powell, Lily Powell, Cillian Hobgood, Rowan Hobgood, Liam Shelton, Mia Roberts (†), Lily Roberts, Ryder Roberts, Elaina Kasper, Olivia Marshall and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Glaze, son Timmy Roberts, parents Joshua and Sissy Buckland, sister Clara Ellis and brother Kenneth Buckland.
In keeping with her wishes and circumstances, no formal services are planned.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
"Probably the best way to be happy is to simply live in the present moment and not give any thought to the past or to the future, since in reality neither of them exists. Flowers and trees and fields exist; and snow and clouds and winds; and people we love and things we love, like hot showers, clean sheets, warm blankets, good food, a fine drink now and then. None of us can do anything at all to change the past, and most of us can do little to change the future. The poet was right after all – carpe diem, seize the day and gather our rosebuds while we may." Author unknown.
