Sadie Caroline Pruitt, lovingly known as Caroline, departed this life on September 19, 2025, at the graceful age of 97. Born on July 5, 1928, Caroline's resilience and warmth were evident from an early age, as she navigated the loss of her parents with the loving guidance of her Grandmother Shanks and her Aunt Frances. Caroline's foundational years, shaped by love and care, led her to embody those very qualities throughout her life.
Caroline dedicated her professional life to the field of dental technology, retiring only to continue her vocation of nurturing others as a nanny and caregiver. Her work infused her with a sense of purpose and the ability to spread joy to countless children and families whose lives she touched. At every turn, Caroline's loving and kind nature left a lasting impression on those around her.
Spirituality and faith played pivotal roles in Caroline's life, and her commitment to her church family at Lifepointe Church of the Nazarene was unwavering. She cherished her time going to services and participating in church events, embodying a spirit of fellowship in all that she did.
Caroline approached life with a zest that went beyond her work and faith. Her passions included the simple pleasures of dining out, the thrill of a day spent shopping, and a love for fashion that allowed her self-expression in the most colorful ways. Her laughter and the twinkle in her eye will be missed by all who were fortunate to join her on these cherished outings.
Though Caroline is predeceased by her beloved son, David Hall, and son-in-law, Tommy Wilkerson, her legacy will continue to flourish through her surviving family. Her daughter, Teresa Wilkerson; her son, Allen Hall; her daughter-in-law Ingrid Hall; her grandchildren, Krissa Runyan (Sean), Kimsie Rafiel (Warren), Kelsey O'Daniel (Noah), D. J. Wilson (Ali), Stephanie Stonek (Jason), and Joey Hall; along with numerous great-grandchildren, will cherish her memory and the endless love she bestowed upon them.
Caroline's life is a tapestry of enduring love, care, and genuine kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, not for the sorrow of her passing but for the many blessings of her enduring presence in their lives. In the stories they will continue to share, in the values she instilled, and in the loving moments they will forever hold dear, Caroline's spirit endures. Though she has embarked on her heavenly journey, the impact she made on earth will resonate for generations to come.

Funeral services for Caroline will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Tuesday.
