Sadie Lee Dillon Vest, 96, of Freeman and Princeton, WV, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at home following illness. Born November 21, 1928 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rosie Dillon. Sadie was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed all the family events. She enjoyed bowling and eating out. In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Vest, grandson, Timothy Ayers, son-in-law, James Ellison, and lifelong companion, James Sabo.
Survivors include Bill Vest, Vickie and Husband, Bruce Hutchens, Recie Ellison, Patricia and Husband, Steve Davis, all of Princeton, WV; Jay and Kathy Sabo of Bramwell, WV; sister, Libby Dillon Dye; brother-in-law, Raymond Vest; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where Justion Hill, Austin Ayers, Steve Davis, Michael Davis, Josh Davis, and James Pierce will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
