Saint Ledger Augustus Francis, affectionately known as Paul, was born on February 12, 1953 in Linstead, Jamaica. At age 10 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at Jericho Baptist Church, where he was also baptized. He grew up on Jericho Road, until he moved to the United States. he graduated High School in Linstead, and later received an Associate's Degree in Engineering from Camden Community College, in Blackwood, NJ. Paul worked as an engineer fro several years, before working for a cable service. He eventually, got his cable Contractor's License, and started his own Cable Installation Contractor's Business. When that entity ended, Paul started a new entity, as a home Renovation Contractor. He continued that until his health failed. Paul had many talents, including electrical, plumbing, auto repair, and various home repair and construction. He built, room additions, finished basements, and many designer decks. He was always available & eager to help family and friends with those talents; no matter how large or small the job required. Everyone called on Paul for help!
Paul was an avid Cricketer. He played Cricket for most of his life, from a young boy. When he no longer played ; he spent many hours watching the matches and reading the newspaper coverage from all over the world. Paul made a lifetime of friends with fellow Cricketers he held in high esteem. Always with a smile, he was a genuine warm and friendly guy. Paul loved all his family, near and far! Always willing to lend a helping hand, or a dollar if he saw you were in need. He loved America, but was always true to his love of Jamaica. Which is why Jamaica, is his resting place. "Home"
Paul was proceeded death, by his first wife Katherine Palmer Francis Rouse. He is survived by his second wife, Lorna Renee Washington Francis. he leaves behind to sadly mourn his loss, son, Tyron Levar Francis and daughter-in-law, Kimberly; daughter, Treacy Ivy Francis Weal and son-in law Timothy; son Jared Paul Francis ;and daughter, Zekira Ivy Francis, eight grandchildren; Nyah, Tyron, Jr, Donavan, Imani, Kiyomi, Leilah, and Timothy. Brothers: Godfrey, Sydney, Bradley and Michael. Sisters; Naomie, Shirley, Carmen, Delores, and Carol, brother in law; George, Joey, and Rashad and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
So, we are all gathered here to say our final goodbyes to our beloved Paul. A man of compassion and good heartedness. A fiercely devoted father,and a true friend to all. He will always be remembered in our hearts and our thoughts, forever.
