CASTLE DALE- Sallie Anna Paxton, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Castle Dale, Utah. She was 89 years old.
Sallie was born on September 22, 1936, in Myton, Utah.
Sallie dedicated more than 30 years to the field of nursing, working tirelessly to care for others. Her compassion, leadership, and strength led her to direct several nursing homes throughout her career. She touched countless lives-not only through her skill and professionalism, but through the warmth, humor, and genuine love she shared with those in her care.
When Sallie wasn't working, she could most often be found outdoors with a fishing pole in hand. An avid fisher, she traveled many destinations seeking the thrill of a good catch. She also had a creative spirit and loved to sew, paint, craft, and make things with her hands.
One of her great joys was creating beautiful beaded-bracelet watches, which she happily sold and shared with others.
Sallie was deeply committed to her Bible study group, where she found friendship, faith, and purpose. Her laughter, insight, and steady presence enriched every gathering.
She also had a playful side-Sallie loved slot machines and, as her family would say, she "played them like a fiddle." Whether she was crafting, fishing, studying scripture, or enjoying a good game, she lived life with energy, joy, and an unmistakable sparkle.
Sallie is survived by children Chris (Linda) Krogh, UT, Monica (Ken) Eley, UT; brothers Fred Jensen, AZ, Allen (Phyllis) Jensen, AZ, Ralph Jensen, AZ, Marvin (Melody) Jensen, ME, and Dennis (Mindy) Jensen, AZ. As well as 10 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Sallie is preceded in death by her spouse Richard Paxton, parents Ralph H. Jensen and Sallie B. Jensen, children; Eddie Krogh, Brenda Krogh and Tracie Butler, brother; Lee Jensen and 1 great-grandchild.
Graveside services will take place at a later date
Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Sallie Anna online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
