Sallie Mae Waclawczyk, 88, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2023. She was welcomed to this earth on October 24, 1934, by her parents Thomas and Emilia (Dragon) Lyssy at home in Panna Maria, Texas.
A cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, Sallie left a lasting impact on those who were blessed enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter; Karen Seifert (Wade), grandchildren; Jamison and Diandra Seifert, her great grandsons; Liam, Jacob, and Wyatt Seifert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 65 years; Vincent Waclawczyk, her daughter; Carol Kotzur, her parents Thomas and Emilia Lyssy, her twin brother; Thomas "Pat" Lyssy, and Adrian Lyssy.
The family would like to give a special "thank you" to Sisters Care at The Village, medical staff at Northeast Baptist Hospital, and Vitas Healthcare for their care and compassion during Sallie's final days.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, San Antonio, TX. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 11:30 am with Mass to follow at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Jerome's Catholic Cemetery in San Antonio.
