In loving memory of Sally H. Bartlein who ascended into heaven on August 29, 2022 in Sarasota, FL. Sally was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 13, 1929 to Larry Cole and Rose (Krebsbach) Cole. Beloved Wife of 47 years and Widow of Robert (Bob) F. Bartlein (2005). Devoted Mother to Karen (Randy) Watenpuhl of Sarasota FL and Kurt Bartlein and Aimee Trachtenberg of Dunedin FL. Loving Grandmother to Arika (Mike) Cooper, Alissa (Kirk) Snyder, Andria Harrison, and Alana (Chris) Powers. Great Grandmother to Abby Cooper, Avery, Alivia and Alexis Snyder, Ariel and Austin Gustafson, Jordan Harrison, and Jake and Luke Powers. Sally is survived by one sister, Sandra (Marsh) Bender of Abrams, WI. She is predeceased by two sisters, Blanche Cole and Alice (Ken) Seaman. Sally is also survived by her very best friend of more than 50 years, Kathy Burroughs, and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Sally graduated from Bayview High School in 1947 and went on to work for the AT&T phone company as a Service Representative before her marriage to Robert Bartlein and starting her life as wife and mother. As her children got older, Sally went back to work for Grace Methodist Church in Milwaukee, as the Church Secretary. During this time, she also became a Hatha Yoga teacher with the YWCA in Milwaukee. She continued to teach Yoga and other Spiritual pursuits for many years. Sally also attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee as a Creative Design and Art student. She was an accomplished seamstress and won a number of awards with her soft sculptures while attending UWM. She went on to become an avid artist in other mediums, with many oil and acrylic paintings she did. Sally had an Exhibit of her paintings in 1989 in Milwaukee. The rest of her works are still held by family members.
When Bob retired, they became involved in boating and fishing on Lake Michigan with the purchase of a large lake boat named of course, Sally B. During this time, Sally also worked as a private secretary which she enjoyed. In her retirement, Sally loved traveling with her dear friend Kathy Burroughs and staying involved with her many friends and family in Milwaukee. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist church in West Allis, WI. She devoted many hours being involved in church activities and volunteering to help others. Sally s final years were spent in Sarasota, Florida enjoying her family and the warm Florida lifestyle.
Sally lived a full and wonderful life in her 93 years and did what she wanted to do. There will be no formal services and family will be having a celebration of life for Sally in FL with her ashes scattered at a later date in Wisconsin per her wishes.

My condolences to the family. Sally was a very special, caring woman. She helped with our Second Saturday Servants program for 10 years, as a very good worker and contributor, She always encouraged me and several others. We have missed her very much since she moved to Florida!
