She was born on November 1, 1946, in Manchester, KY, daughter of the late Elby and Elsie (Webb) Mathis.
Sally had a passion for gardening, interior decorating, porch sitting, and listening to the music of Loretta Lynn. Her warmth and creativity brought comfort and joy to those around her.
She is survived by her son, Ed (Tammy) Casey of Dillsboro, IN; grandchildren, Carmen (William) Ronnebaum and Megan Casey; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Ronnebaum and Landon Rolf; brothers, Abe Mathis and Pearl Mathis; and sister, Susan Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Casey; and siblings, Steve, Ralph, Sam, Charlie, Chester, Willie, Hughie, and Jay Mathis, as well as Hazel Westerfield, Mae Sandlin, and Edna Mathis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Kenneth Hopper officiating.
Interment will follow at River View Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
