Sally E. Combs Siggers

Sally E. Combs Siggers, 94, of Whiteland, IN formerly of Seymour passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at South Point Healthcare Center in Indianapolis. She was born on February 21, 1929, in DeKalb, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Grace (Wilson) Applegate. On August 22, 1945, she married Otis A. Combs in Scottsburg, IN and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2001. She later married Melvin L. Siggers on June 10, 2006, and he survives.
In addition to her husband Melvin, Sally is survived by her children, Archie (Susan) Combs of Guyton, GA, Patricia (Larry) Dawson of Chattanooga, TN and Brenda Hanger of Indianapolis and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, her first husband, Otis, one daughter, Evelyn Colwell; one stepson, Melvin L. Siggers, Jr.; three brothers, Raymond, Francis, and Harold Applegate; and one sister, Vergene Dart.
Sally retired from Pantasote after twenty-eight years of service. She lived most of her life in Jackson County. She was a former member of the Seymour Community Church and a current member of Shelby Street Pentecostal Church in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Voss & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor John Burdind officiating. Burial will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Street Pentecostal Church in Indianapolis.
