Sally (Moschella) Hanlin was raised in Pleasantville, where she attended St. Peter's Elementary School and graduated from Pleasantville High School. She later earned her degree from Atlantic Cape Community College. A longtime resident of Absecon and Galloway, Sally dedicated thirty-six years to the New Jersey State Judiciary, serving in various administrative leadership roles. She was a cornerstone of the municipal court system, especially in Atlantic and Cape May counties.
In 1987, Sally married the love of her life, Frank. Together, they embraced life's adventures, creating lasting memories through their travels to the races and their cherished getaways in West Virginia, Myrtle Beach, Maine, Disney World, and countless other destinations. Sally and Frank shared a love of golf, sunrises, seashell collecting, Sunday family dinners, and bowling with their extended family.
Sally will be fondly remembered for her tenacity, sense of adventure, vibrant sense of humor, and her love for cooking, with everyone cherishing their favorite dish she made. Above all, she will be celebrated for her deep love of family, friends, and the many dogs she lovingly cared for over the years.
Sally was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy (Palzer) and Sal Moschella Sr.; her siblings, Michael, Nancy, and Sal Jr.; her sister-in-law, Barbara Moschella; and her nephew, Stephen Subin. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank; her children, Lynn Marie Birdsall (Steven Graham) and William Birdsall III; her beloved grandson, Cole; her loyal dog, Champ; her sisters, Lyn Assad (Mac), Rochelle Poirier (John), and Roxanne Poirier; her brother, Anthony Flanagan; and her niece and nephews, Kristy McLaughlin, Matthew Moschella, Michael, Mark, and Matthew Assad; Christopher Poirier; and Joey Gower. Sally will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sally's life at her memorial gathering on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Our Lady Star of the East Church (formerly St. Peter's Church), located at 25 W. Black Horse Pike, Pleasantville, NJ. The gathering will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. After the service, all are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at Rifici's in Absecon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County.

My condolences to Frank and the family. Frank and Sally joined our Blackwater Community in North Myrtle Beach and we were always happy to see them and Champ. We admired Frank´s devotion and strength as he helped Sally in her journey. She was always happy and other than Frank, loved John Daley. We´ll miss you Sally.
