Marcella J. "Sally" Johnson, 98, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Harrison House in Coatesville.
She was the beloved wife of the late Jack W. Johnson, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1992.
Born and raised in Coatesville, Sally was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wisniewski Golish.
She worked as a waitress at the Town Diner in Coatesville where she met her husband, and later Zynn's Diner in Thorndale.
Sally loved music, especially Polish songs and polka, and was a skilled cook who enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She also liked spending time outdoors, particularly camping and fishing with her husband and family in Maryland.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Timothy Johnson (Angela) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Susan Gawrys (Raymond) of Paradise, and Thomas Johnson (Rose Ann) of Willow Street; grandchildren, April, Timothy, Jr. (Melanie), Daniel (Adriann) and Kelly; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Farkas, Jennifer Ray, and Eleanor Suhobrus.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Cecilia's Cemetery, 901 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
