Sally Ann (Yost) McBrayer, age 88, of Mechanicsburg passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. Sally was born on Friday, June 19, 1936, in Bradford, PA to the late Wesley T. Yost and Alice (Eddinger) Yost. Sally was the widow of Robert James McCullough, whom she married on June 29, 1959, and who died on June 19, 1996. She was also the widow of Les McBrayer, whom she married on November 11, 2000, and who died on January 19, 2011. In addition to her parents and husbands, Sally is preceded in death by her stepson, Leston McBrayer and her stepdaughter, Kathy Port.

Sally’s survivors include her 2 children: Alan McCullough and his wife, Patricia of Mechanicsburg, PA and Marsha Snyder and her husband Scott of York, PA, Her 2 stepchildren: Mark McBrayer and his wife Karen of Gadsen, AL and Cindy Woodsmall of Atlanta, GA; her 2 grandchildren: Colby R. Snyder (Taylor) and Abigail L Cozzi (Dave); her 3 great-grandchildren: Lucas A. Cozzi, Harper J. Snyder, and Dominic A. Cozzi; her brother, Donald Yost and his wife Sylvia of Glen Mills, PA; also, 13 total grandchildren & step-grandchildren and 25 total great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; many cousins; and her beloved feline companion: Cammie.

Sally was a 1958 graduate of Indiana State Teachers' College (now IUP). Sally also was a lifetime member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Sally was a gifted school teacher, specializing in speech therapy and in business. Sally substitute taught for many years in the Warren County School District. Sally was a most beloved teacher, friend, & Grandparent. She loved her family, church activities, anything crafty, and her students. Sally made numerous wedding afghans and blankets for Marsha's & Alan's friends and family.  Sally also enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, and spending time with friends and family. 

All are welcome to join Sally’s family at her visitation on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Hope United Methodist Church, 6260 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 with Reverend Hannah Pratt Sledge officiating. Sally’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship immediately following the service. Interment will follow the reception at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 

Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to PASR Scholarship Fund, 878 Century Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, Aldersgate UMC, Jerusalem Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, or The Mary Martha Circle, Youngsville First UMC Church, Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371.
