Sally Rone Obituary

Sally was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Ann Martin Rector and the devoted wife of the late Michael Otto Rone. Her legacy of love continues through her three children: Alison Cardwell (Ernie) of Morgantown, KY, Alana Wade (Alan) of Bowling Green, KY, and Adam Rone of Morgantown, KY. Sally's joy was multiplied by her six grandchildren: Caitlynn Farough of Cromwell, KY, Alexas Cardwell Kidd (Jessie) of Morgantown, KY, Brittany Cardwell of Central City, KY, Anna Wade of Bowling Green, KY, Dalton Edmonds (Ana) of Morgantown, KY, and Aidan Wade of Bowling Green, KY. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
Sally's vibrant spirit was matched by her large and loving family, including her seven siblings: Duane Rector (Karen) of Smiths Grove, KY, Cynthia Frey (Vaughn) of Danville, KY, Susan Throneberry (Robert) of Alvaton, KY, Ray Rector of Bowling Green, KY, Judy Mitchell (Mike) of Alabama, Nancy Roberts of Maryland, and Lisa Heile (Dan) of Utah. Her numerous nieces and nephews.
Professionally, Sally was a retired Registered Nurse who dedicated her career to the well-being of the young men at Green River Boys Camp. Sally's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an exceptional baker and cook, always eager to share her delicious creations with friends and family. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and traveling brought her joy and expanded her view of the world, while her love for the outdoors reminded her of the simple pleasures in life. Those who knew Sally would describe her as funny, creative, and she was a prankster. Her sense of humor was infectious.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:00pm with Bro. Johnny Kelton officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 11:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
