Sally Wise, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2024 in Battle Creek. She was born on February 13, 1943, in Battle Creek, a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life. Sally was a dedicated individual who graduated from Athens High School as part of the class of 1961. Her commitment to hard work was evident in her career at Post General Foods Building #4 production line, where she served diligently from July 12, 1965, until March 1, 1999. Beyond her professional endeavors, Sally's true passion lay in relationships and community. She will fondly be remembered for her thoughtfulness as she made it a point to send birthday cards to all her relatives and church members without fail. A pillar of Urbandale Baptist Church since 1974, Sally's faith was an integral part of her life. She shared a deep connection with the community there and found solace and joy in being an active member of the congregation. In her leisure time, Sally found relaxation through macramé and the art of quilting. These hobbies showcased her creativity and attention to detail, reflecting her gentle and nurturing personality. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence Wise Jr., son Anthony Wise of Battle Creek, daughter Angie Toungett of Leoma, TN , brother Gary (Shirley) Erskine of Battle Creek, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Paul Erskine, mother Alma Erskine (Erskine), sisters Alma “Jean” Wise, Nancy Miner, and son Thomas Wise. A visitation will be held on July 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Urbandale Baptist Church located at 19 Geiger Ave in Battle Creek. The final farewell will take place during the service starting at 11:00 AM. Sally Wise's kindness and unwavering devotion to those around her have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Donations may be made out to Urbandale Baptist Church.
