It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my beloved mother, Sallye R. Moore. After enduring health challenges in recent years, she has now found peace and has reunited with her cherished family members: her husband of over 70 years, her parents Lillie and Edward Johnson, her sisters Eddie Bernice and Lee Helen, and her only brother, Carl. We find comfort in imagining their joyous reunion in Heaven.
Sallye was a radiant soul who poured her love into everything she did. Her unwavering devotion to family, friends, and her former students lit up the lives of many in the Dalworth community. She dedicated herself passionately to the service of others, considering it a profound honor to have the Sallye R. Moore College & Career Preparatory Academy in Grand Prairie ISD named in her honor.
Throughout her remarkable journey of over 90 years, Sallye embraced her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with grace and warmth. Her spirit will forever be embedded in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.
As we reflect on her legacy, we miss her deeply. We kindly ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sallye R. Moore will be dearly missed, but her love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
