Obituary of Salvador Garcia Sr.
Evangelist Salvador Garcia, age 90, of Vineland, New Jersey, entered into the presence of the Lord on May 21, 2025, after a life devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Born on July 31, 1934, Salvador was called to ministry at a young age and faithfully answered that call for over 72 years. He traveled across the country and around the world preaching the Good News, leading revivals, and winning souls for the Kingdom of God. His ministry was marked by powerful preaching, a deep love for Scripture, and an unwavering passion to see lives transformed by the saving grace of Jesus.
Salvador was known not only as a powerful preacher and evangelist, anointed with a gift from God-so powerfully that holy oil would flow from his hands-but also as a humble servant, a devoted prayer warrior, and a wise mentor. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, caring, compassionate, and remarkably gifted, able to play any instrument with ease. Through his ministry, he faithfully opened 17 churches, leaving a lasting legacy of faith and service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaspar Garcia Vale and Estebania Arroyo Tirad; his four brothers, Damian Garcia, Eladio Garcia, Santo Garcia, and Angel Luis Garcia; and his four sisters, Gregoria Garcia, Ninfa Garcia, Aracelia Garcia, and Luz Garcia.
His beloved wife of 63 years, Flor M. Garcia and six children Rhoda Garcia, Loida (Frankie) Acosta, Salvador Jr. (Itzamar) García, Ruth García, Eli García, and Abner (Brenda) García, survives Salvador. He also leaves behind nineteen cherished grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
He often quoted Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Evangelist Salvador García has finished his course and kept the faith. His voice may be silent here on earth, but his legacy continues to speak. Until the trumpet sounds, he now rests in the presence of the Lord.
Thank you: The Garcia family sincerely appreciates your presence, prayers, and displays of love during this time. Thank you for joining us in honoring the life of a faithful servant.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday May 27, 2025 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm followed by a funeral service from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Wednesday May 28, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at the Vineland Spanish Assemblies of God, 512 S 3rd St, Vineland, NJ.
