Salvador Rico-Nunez, 56, of Camden, NJ, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 26, 2022 in Camden.
He was born in Mexico City, in 1966 to Olivia Nunez-Jacobo and the late, Salvador Rico Arreguin. Salvador was raised in Mexico until coming to America in 1985, landing in Los Angeles, CA.
Salvador met the love of his life, Maria Dina Minero Santamaria in 1999 in Los Angeles. They fell in love and married in 2001. Salvador strived for a better life and in 2003, he moved to NJ to better his life, a new beginning. Maria eventually moved to NJ and joined her husband. Maria was a strong foundation for Salvador. In 2020, they officially married in the St. Joachim Church, Bellmawr, NJ. Salvador and Maria were both faithful members of St. Joan of Arc Church in Camden, NJ.
Salvador loved his wife dearly, and was a great husband and father. He loved to cook, especially for his wife. He excelled in Mexican cuisine, collected cookbooks, and loved to eat food of all kinds. He was the funniest man and loved to express his humor at all times, you couldn't take him seriously. He loved to sketch and was an amazing painter. He was an excellent mathematician. He loved the artist Prince and all his music, especially, the hit song, Purple Rain. Although he wanted desperately to be a musician, he did not have that ability. He was able to pass that love of music on to his daughter, Nancy, who is currently at NYU studying music technology.
He was predeceased by his wife, in 2020, who sadly passed away from Covid, shortly after their marriage. He was also predeceased by his father, Salvador and his sister.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his children, Nancy Rico-Mineros and Francisco Rico, his mother in Mexico, Olivia Nunez-Jacobo, 7 siblings and many extended relatives, both in the US and Mexico.
All services will be private.
