Salvatore Bruno Obituary

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Charles V. and Mary Bruno.
Salvatore worked as a Machine Operator for Imperial Wallcovering for many years until his retirement, and was an active communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. He enjoyed playing cards in the Tuesday Night League at the Calabrese Club. Salvatore was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He leaves behind six children, Sarah Bruno (James Barrett); Jessica Sullivan; Katie Bruno (Chris Andrade); Ariana Bruno; Emily Bruno; Danny Gardiner (Samantha); nine grandchildren, Kaladin Barrett, Patrick Sullivan, John Sullivan, Lulabelle Kenney, Gracey Bruno, Gabrielle Bruno, Biannca Bruno, DJ Gardiner, and James Gardiner; four siblings, Charleen Bonelli (Tom), Edward Bruno (Carole), Susan Burns (Larry), and Patricia Parker (David); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 18th from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, August 19th at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Cobblestone Lane, Westerly. There is no procession to church from the funeral home.
