Salvatore R. Pettinato

Mr. Salvatore R. Pettinato, age 61, of Frankfort, NY passed away on Monday September 27, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a lengthy illness, with his son Jeremiah and dear friend Tony by his side.
He was born in Utica on August 27, 1960 a son of the late Salvatore and Katherine DiNardo Pettinato and was educated in local schools. Salvatore was employed with the Chobani Yogurt Co. for several years until he retired due to ill health. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a devout fan of the NY Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his beloved son Jeremiah Pettinato; two brothers David Pettinato and John Paul "JP" Pettinato both of CA.; his dear friend Tony DeSimone; East Utica buddies and Sal's Pal's from Chobani Yogurt and several cousins. He was married for years to Renee Kolodey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial this Saturday Oct. 9th at 9:30 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Visitors will be greeted after mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Salvatore.
