Salvatore Vincent Tessitore

Salvatore Vincent Tessitore, age 83 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of Frank and Josephine (Pappa) Tessitore. Salvatore was united in marriage on November 13, 1979 to Mary Etling and they spent the next 46 years happily together. Salvatore was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. He was employed for many years as an Accountant at A.B. Dick Company and Bell and Howell, and went on to run his own business, Precision Packaging Inc. in Oswego, IL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Salvatore is survived by his wife, Mary Tessitore of Yorkville, IL; his four children, Sharon Tessitore of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Diane (Michael) Wall of Naples, FL, Vincent Tessitore, of North Aurora, IL, and Luke (Sarnai) Tessitore of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren; his sister Arlene (Glenn)Dulski of Romeoville, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Tessitore; his brother, Richard Tessitore; and two sister-in-law's, Janice Tessitore and Iris Tessitore. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL. A private interment will take place at a later date. A Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
